Honeywell 5816WMWH Product Description:
The Honeywell 5816WMWH is a wireless, white-color, door and window alarm contact that is your first line of defense against criminals. The 5816WMWH is a great addition to any other compatible Honeywell LYNX Plus, LYNX Touch, Lyric, ProSeries or VISTA-Series compatible wireless security system security system. Use the included double sided tape to mount the transmitter on the door or window frame, and the magnet on the door or window. If the contacted door or window is opened while the system is armed, it will set off the alarm and send a signal to the AlarmClub Central Station.
The battery is included and the magnet must be ordered separately. This transmitter operates on a 7-digit serial number and a loop number that must be programmed into a wireless zone in the control. The 5116WMWH contact provides two zones: a magnetic reed (Loop 2) and a wired normally closed contact (Loop 1). When it senses a fault condition, it will send a fault signal to the control. The unit will not send the restore signal until the physical contact is restored.
Mount the 5816WMWH either directly to the surface or by using the mounting plate. If using as a door contact, mount the 5816WMWH to the frame and mount the magnet to the door. If using the NC Wire Loop: Feed the wires through the concealed wiring hole on the mounting plate, or run wiring through the thin "breakout" area in the case wall, then connect the loop to the unit's terminals. For UL installations: a contact may not be more than 3 feet from the 5816WMWH. If using reed, mount 5899 magnet near the alignment marks. Typical, breaking gap is 1.36" on wood or non-magnetic surfaces, or 0.78" on steel surfaces.
Do not mount the transitter on or near metal objects, as this may affect transmission range. It is also good practice to avoid locating the transmitter near wiring (AC, telephone, HVAC, computer data cables, etc.)
