CDMA-L3 - Honeywell Cellular CDMA Alarm Communicator (for LYNX Plus L3000 Control Panel)

Honeywell CDMA-L3 Alarm Communicator:
The Honeywell CDMA-L3 is an AlarmNet LYNX Plus cellular CDMA alarm monitoring communicator for the L3000 LYNX Plus alarm control panel. The LYNX Plus is the only control panel that supports the CDMA-L3. The module also supports voice communications between the control panel and the AlarmClub central station following an alarm condition. The CDMA-L3 cellular communications module transmits signals via the CDMA 1X RTT network. Prior to the release of the CDMA-L3 there was no way to send cellular CDMA alarm signals with a LYNX Plus security system.
Adding an AlarmNet CDMA-L3 to a LYNX Plus wireless security system allows you to sign up for AlarmClub cellular CDMA alarm monitoring services. While the LYNX Plus alarm control panel supports phone line alarm monitoring without needing an alternative alarm monitoring communicator, most people these days prefer cellular alarm monitoring due to its wireless nature. If you are relying on your home or business phone line for monitoring service, your security system is vulnerable to a criminal cutting your phone line wire before entering the home. With the phone line cut, no alarm signal would reach AlarmClub's central station. However, if your L3000 system has a cellular alarm communicator like the CDMA-L3, there is no risk of someone cutting your line. As the CDMA-L3 uses a wireless alarm transmission path, it is a more reliable and widely considered the most secure form of alarm communications to date. Another advantage of the CDMA-L3 is that you don't need to have phone service at your home to have your security system monitored. With the huge popularity of cell phones, many people no longer have a need for the traditional home phone. However, many people that would otherwise be able to eliminate their phone service, and save on their monthly phone bill, are forced to keep the service because their alarm system uses that traditional phone line to communicate. These people would be able to free themselves from their home phone by simply adding a cellular CDMA-L3 alarm communicator to their L3000 security system.
Unlike other cellular alarm communicators, the CDMA-L3 is an AlarmNet communicator and therefore supports Honeywell's Total Connect 2.0 service. Most AlarmNet dealers that offer AlarmNet alarm monitoring services only offer Total Connect as an add-on to a central station monitoring plan. While we offer Total Connect with our monitoring plus plan, AlarmClub also has a special self monitoring plan which includes Total Connect access without the added cost of a central station plan. From there the signals can be sent to the AlarmClub central station and/or the Total Connect 2.0 application. Honeywell cellular security systems are extremely versatile and send secure alarm signals! The ability to install a system and have it send signals without an internet or phone connection is a wonderful thing. Whether you have a vacation home, remote warehouse or just simply do not have phone or internet service a cellular communicator is a great option.
