DSC PG9924 Product Description:
The DSC PG9924 is a wireless PowerG indoor curtain motion detector that is designed for PowerG compatible security systems. Upon detection of motion, the PG9924 communicates an alert to the security system.The PG9924 motion detector uses three different programmable detectors in a single case, (for 6, 12 or 18 feet curtain coverage range) and provides optimal performance at various mounting locations by delivering better catch performance and virtually no false alarms.
The superior performance of this detector is achieved by applying an improved version of the patented True Motion Recognition™ (TMR) algorithm. This advanced motion analysis method allows the PG9924 to distinguish between the true motion of the human body and any other disturbances that cause false alarms. The PG9924 comes equipped with a visible signal quality LED indicator that lets the installer choose the optimal location for installation, eliminating the effort of going back and forth to the keypad. Additionally, device configuration options, such as the detection range, are quick and easy with no hardware switches or need to re-open devices. All device configuration settings are handled on the keypad with no need to reopen the device once installed.
Common mounting applications for the PG9924 detector are as follows with a maximum distance of 6 m (20 ft) and a maximum width of 1 m (3.3 ft). Mount the detector so that its orientation is perpendicular to the expected intrusion path. When mounting using the bracket, the back tamper becomes inoperative. The PG9924 can be mounted on either side of a window. The back tamper switch becomes functional only when the break-away segment is secured to the wall with a screw. After mounting, be sure that no gaps remain in the detector housing.

- Green LED Blinks: STRONG

- Red LED Blinks: POOR
- No blinks: No Communication
Only GOOD or STRONG signal strengths are acceptable. If you receive a POOR signal from the device, re-locate it and re-test until a GOOD or STRONG signal is received.
